Yarmouth commission forms handicap-parking subcommittee, moves meeting date

At its Nov. 12 meeting, the Yarmouth Commission on Disabilities formed a handicap-parking committee and moved its regular meeting day to the first Wednesday of each month.
Jean Boyle reported that Drew Krause agreed to be the co-chair of the new handicap-parking committee and that John Mitchell and Gail Turek will serve on the group. Jean asked about public-meeting logistics and staff confirmed that any meeting of four or more members must be posted and that meetings are usually held at Town Hall unless otherwise noted.
Chair Bill announced that, starting in December, the commission will meet on the first Wednesday of the month rather than the second; staff said she had reserved an upstairs, more accessible room for future meetings but warned there may be occasional schedule conflicts with other committees.
What’s next: The handicap-parking committee will begin meeting after the holidays; members agreed to provide dates, times and agendas to staff at least 48 hours in advance so they can be posted.
