At the Regional District Eleven board meeting on April 1, Special Education teacher Kelly McGillivray outlined her responsibilities in math, reading and life skills instruction and reminded the board that SBAC testing is scheduled to begin soon.
Music teacher Mark Colt described his work running choir and introducing guitar, said he is expanding choir membership and planning events for students and the public, and noted an upcoming band concert next Tuesday at 6 p.m. He also mentioned student participation in regional competitions and potential trips.
In committee reports, the Fiscal & Plant committee said it met earlier in the evening and reported progress on the district generator project. Other committees announced meeting dates: Educational and Board Policies on April 16, Central Office in April, Technology/Website later in the school year, Personnel & Supervision to be scheduled, and a newsletter meeting on April 2. CABE/EASTCONN reported no activity.
The board recorded these administrative and committee updates as part of its routine business.
