At the March 2, 2026 meeting, the Altoona City Council approved a site plan for Summit Products Phase III, to be located at 6750 NE 41st Avenue.
Community Development Director John Shaw introduced the item and consultant Lorena Wasion of Snyder & Associates said the proposed expansion is a 30,315-square-foot addition. Councilmember Duer moved to approve the site plan contingent on the listed deficiencies being addressed; the motion passed by roll call (recorded outcome 4-0 with Councilmember McFadden absent).
Shaw noted the project previously received site plan approval in September 2024 but that approval had expired. The current approval allows Summit Products to proceed with the Phase III expansion once the outstanding deficiencies are resolved and the site plan conditions are met. The council did not record public comment during the site plan presentation.
Next steps: staff will track the outstanding deficiencies and notify the council when the conditions have been satisfied so that building permits and construction can proceed.
