Oakdale Joint Unified board approves federal grant policy updates and Finney Architects contract

The Oakdale Joint Unified School District board approved several action items related to federal-grant compliance and bond-project contracting.
Sandra (district staff) told trustees that changes in federal oversight required updates to the district’s policies and administrative regulations governing federal grant management, conflict-of-interest, cash management and allowable costs. "This board policy addresses the board's responsibility to make fiscal integrity and transparency in the use of federal grants," Sandra said, and the board moved to approve revisions to board policy 32-30 and its administrative regulation.
Trustees also approved a related bylaw update (92-70) aligning district procedures with those federal requirements.
On contracting for bond projects, the district recommended Finney Architects for the Oakdale Charter School replacement. Pacific Grama Management said it procured Finney Architects for that charter-school project and recommended the board approve the contract; a trustee moved and another seconded the motion, and the board approved the contract by voice vote.
All three items passed by voice vote during the meeting; the board did not provide roll-call tallies in the transcript beyond voice approval.
