"She returns to us as a seasoned administrator," he said, listing outcomes under her leadership at El Dorado: a 10% decrease in D and F rates, an 11% increase in ELA test scores and an increase in A–G completion from 34% to 51%.
Trustees praised the candidate's fit and the selection process. One trustee said the district’s recruitment and vetting produced a "stellar candidate," and several trustees noted they had heard positive feedback about the choice during recent school visits and accreditation (WASC) activity. A motion to approve the appointment was made and seconded; the board approved the appointment by voice vote.
The board’s action follows staff recommendation and a selection process that included interview panels and stakeholder input. President Hall congratulated Dr. Sisson and welcomed her return to the district. No implementation date was specified during the presentation.
The appointment concludes the hiring item on the agenda; the board moved next to the CSBA delegate assembly election.
