The Oakdale Joint Unified School District board voted to add Architects Plus Incorporated to the district’s pool of architecture and engineering firms for Measure G bond projects and approved architect-of-record contracts under Series A funding for several modernization projects.
Staff explained the district needs to expand its pool of firms to meet ambitious project schedules for the series-a list of projects. The board authorized the superintendent to add Architects Plus Incorporated to the pool and, separately, approved contracts for the Oakdale High School gymnasium and girls locker room and for Oakdale Junior High School classroom conversion to a student services center. Staff said each specific agreement and fee structure will be negotiated per project and brought forward for board ratification as details are finalized.
The projects were described as part of earlier-prioritized lists approved at the board’s Aug. 11 meeting; program management (Pacific Grama Management) recommended Art & Technica (ArcNitecnica) for the OHS gym project and Pratt Architecture for the junior-high conversion after proposal review.
Board members asked for confirmation that the gym project scope includes both boys’ and girls’ locker rooms and the full gym complex, which staff confirmed. Motions to approve the pool addition and the contracts carried on voice vote.
The approvals authorize staff to finalize and present contracts for ratification; no additional funding appropriation or detailed contract terms were adopted at this meeting.
