Dr. Brian Brockett explained the survey will be distributed through ThoughtExchange to families, staff, students and community partners to inform the 2026‑27 LCAP goals and actions. Trustees asked whether the survey window could be extended or started earlier to increase response rates around a four‑day weekend; Trustee Rawlings requested extending the close date and staff agreed it would tighten the study session timeline but could instead move the start earlier to gather responses before the holiday. Staff committed to adjusting the schedule to improve response collection and to present survey results and consultation feedback at the March board study session.
The board voted unanimously (5–0) to approve the survey tool and the engagement timeline with staff direction on timing adjustments.
