Altoona council approves easement for new Public Works building, final plat, Meta distribution frame and appointments

Branden Stubbs of Stubbs Engineering presented Spring Creek Ridge West Plat 2, a final plat for 27 single-family lots across 7.56 acres; the council approved the plat subject to legal review, with the roll-call recorded as 3-0-1 (Councilmember Evans abstained).
Brent Strauch of Shive-Hattery described a proposed 2,027-square-foot pre-manufactured Main Distribution Frame to support Meta's PCI-7 data center campus; the council approved the site plan by roll call (4-0).
The council also approved the mayor's slate of appointments to regional boards and city liaisons (e.g., CIRDWC, WRA, CVB, MPO) and adopted council resolutions naming representatives and legal counsel; those votes were recorded 4-0. The consent agenda passed and included Pay App #14 for Alliance Construction ($10,000) for roadway work, agreements with McClure Engineering and MidAmerican Energy, a Trees Please! grant application, and multiple liquor license approvals.
The meeting closed after department-head reports and a 7:01 p.m. adjournment vote.
