Policy: The board adopted the California School Boards Association’s special policy updates required to be reflected in district policy by March 1. Trustee Reiser moved the adoption and Trustee Martin seconded; the motion passed by roll-call vote.
Facilities/Contracts: Trustees approved several facilities- and construction-related items including performance-audit contracts for SFP funds, change order closeouts, and lease-leaseback procurements. Facilities staff highlighted a favorable closeout of summer projects that left roughly $4 million under budget before further change orders.
Instructional and services agreements: The board approved instructional materials and program agreements (Concord Theatricals, WeVideo), data-privacy agreements (Riverside Insight, Help Kids Learn), and vendor contracts including Panera Bakery Cafe and Carpet 1 Floor & Home Design Center.
Operations: The board also approved routine operational contracts and authorized the purchase of a new school bus; roll-call votes were recorded for each motion and no public comments were received on the items.
All motion results were recorded on the public record; staff will complete vendor contracting and implementation steps per district procurement procedures.
