The Board of Sanitary Commissioners voted March 18 to approve meeting minutes from March 4 and a register of claims totaling $1,076,602.36, which included two large invoices tied to the CSO 28 long-term control plan.
The Chair opened the meeting and, after a brief public-comment period with no speakers, brought forward the March 4 minutes. A committee member moved to approve the minutes and the Chair seconded; the board approved the minutes unanimously.
When the Chair presented the register of claims, a committee member called attention to major line items related to CSO 28, naming Boeing Engineering Group for $384,590.70 and United Consulting for $80,769.05 as the two largest charges in the claim period. "This deals with our CSO 28, our ongoing long term control plan," the committee member said, identifying those invoices as significant for the period. The board then voted to approve the register of claims; the Chair announced the vote was unanimous.
In an administrator update, the Chair said the district administrator, Adam Leach, was absent and excused and that staff are following up on issues raised in the previous public-comment period as well as a ditch concern; the Chair said more information will be provided at a future meeting.
There were no department head updates, no old business, and no new business. The Chair acknowledged Tom for his review of the ditch issue and thanked him for saving the board money. The board then moved to adjourn and voted in favor.
The Board of Sanitary Commissioners concluded its meeting without taking additional formal actions; the Chair said follow-up reports on the prior public comment issues and the ditch concern will be provided at a future meeting.
