The Elkhart County highway department reported two bids for the 2026 CCG CCMG paving program at the March 16 meeting.
Kyle Wagner presented the bids: Reeth Riley Construction submitted a base bid of $2,363,685.71 with an alternate for Carrington Cove of $83,472.29 (total $2,447,158), while Nivlock Excavating submitted a base bid of $2,255,966.10 with a $76,127.80 alternate (total $2,332,093.90). Wagner said those were the only submissions received.
A commissioner moved to authorize staff to accept, review the bids, and return with a recommendation; another commissioner seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously.
No award was made at the March 16 meeting; staff will review the bids and bring a recommendation back to the board.
