On curriculum, trustees approved new one-semester courses at Oakdale High School in computer science: Cybersecurity and Computer Science: Artificial Intelligence. District staff said the courses are intended to pair with the new personal-finance requirement and to serve as gateway electives for advanced CS classes.
The board also approved multiple policy items on second reading: an updated student-use-of-technology exhibit (61 63.4 e1) to reflect modern classroom technology and liability protections; BP/AR 61 74 (education for English learners) revising reclassification criteria and monitoring; BP/AR 51 48.2 (before- and after-school programs) to clarify ELO requirements and priority access for foster and homeless youth; and BP 34 52 changes governing student activity funds. Trustees accepted the district’s 2024–25 annual financial reports and approved a second-quarter developer-fee report for Oct. 1–Dec. 31, 2025.
