Auditor Mandy Berg told the board her office received a few phone calls after the county mailed notice about the proposed levy. According to Berg, callers mainly asked why the mailing had been sent and whether any action was required; she told the board that some residents found the mailing confusing and that its clarity and organization could be improved.
The board moved through routine business quickly. Supervisor Baier moved, Supervisor Christoffersen seconded and the board approved the meeting agenda as posted. At 9:01 a.m. Supervisor Christoffersen moved and Supervisor Hoadley seconded to open the public hearing on the FY27 proposed property tax levy; the motion carried unanimously. After Berg reported no additional comments, Supervisor Baier moved and Supervisor Hoadley seconded to close the hearing at 9:04 a.m., and the motion was approved unanimously. The board then voted to adjourn at 9:04 a.m.
The session record lists Supervisors Baier, Christoffersen, Hoadley and Chair Jerry Walker as present; Supervisor Wedemeyer was absent. No formal changes to the proposed levy were made during the meeting and no public testimony was entered into the record.
