The board approved a construction change order (Nolan Construction Services, change order #2) for the two‑story classroom building at James Foster Elementary (estimated additional cost discussed in open session) and declared certain district-owned property surplus. Trustees also approved the district's initial bargaining proposal to CSEA and reviewed the initial proposal between the district and the Saugus Teachers Association for 2026-27; the CSEA initial proposal was approved to commence negotiations.
Other items: the board adopted procedures for student attendance and health and safety policies (first readings), approved activity leader job descriptions and approved the 2026-27 district calendar for staff negotiation purposes. The board also confirmed there were no Williams uniform complaints for 2025-26.
