The presenter said A–G completion rates and advanced placement participation have ticked upward and that graduation rates remain high across student groups. The staff noted a typographical error on one slide ("25.2" was printed where the correct rate is 95.2 percent) and thanked a board member for catching it.
Staff outlined areas for continued focus, including English learner outcomes, subgroup disparities, sustaining attendance improvements and facilities maintenance. The presentation reiterated that LCAP is a three‑year cycle and that the midyear update reflects implementation status and adjusted budget projections aligned with enrollment trends.
Next steps: the LCAP draft will be publicly posted in March for review; a public hearing is scheduled for June 10 and adoption is set for June 24. Staff will continue engagement with Los Angeles County Office of Education and community stakeholders between now and adoption.
