"Based on our current year‑to‑date data, we're on track to have 25 e‑bike related collisions by the end of the year," Chief Banks said, adding that a 2024 review of 17 e‑bike injury crashes involved juveniles in 13 cases and that 88% of those collisions were caused by bicyclists, often because of wrong‑way riding.
