Board approves IGA with Dupo to continue electrical pathways CTE instruction

The Columbia CUSD 4 board voted to approve an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Dupo to continue the district’s electrical pathways career and technical education (CTE) instruction.
A district administrator told the board that Dupo had found a full-time CTE instructor to run the electrical classes and that the updated IGA reflects that change. The district will pay for up to four hours of instruction per student based on enrollment and student interest, the administrator said, and if the board approved the IGA the district would send it to Dupo for their board’s approval.
The motion to approve the IGA was made and seconded during the meeting. The roll call vote on the motion recorded affirmative votes from the members present.
Board members did not raise additional questions during the vote. The approved IGA is intended to maintain a local pathway for students interested in electrical trades while Dupo operates the full‑time class.
