Students showcase AVID and video-production CTE programs at Murrieta Valley board meeting

Students from Warm Springs Middle School and Vista Murrieta High School presented their AVID and video-production CTE pathways to the board.
Warm Springs students described binder organization, focus notes and tutorials as schoolwide strategies that the school links to improved attendance, CAST scores and GPA. Principal Piccino introduced the students and praised classroom implementations of AVID strategies.
Vista Murrieta students (including Austin Wright and Noah Clovis) presented the Bronco News Network (BNN) and Bronco Productions, explaining the daily production of announcements, event coverage and paid internships. "Video production... gives students real responsibility, real deadlines, and real impact," said Austin Wright, explaining that students create content for rallies, athletic events and campus communications and sometimes secure paid work while still in high school.
Board members thanked the students and asked about livestream availability; staff confirmed content is live-streamed on the school channel, and trustees praised the CTE pathways as hands-on experiences that prepare students for careers.
No board action was required; the presentations were recognized and the board thanked the students for their work.
