Business Administrator and Board Secretary Grama outlined the next steps and statutory timeline for the tentative budget. She asked the board to approve submission of the tentative 2026–27 budget to the interim executive county superintendent for review by April 20 and said the district would hold a public presentation ahead of a planned adoption on May 7. "Following the statutory budget calendar, the interim executive will review the tentative budget by April 20. Following the approval, a public presentation will be made for adoption by Thursday, May 7," Grama said.
Board members stressed the level of detail required for the budget review. Grama and the superintendent said the process involves cross‑department collaboration and a review of instructional, operational and personnel needs. They did not provide a final dollar total for the 2026–27 budget at the meeting; the business administrator said the tentative budget would be submitted for county review before public hearings and a final adoption vote.
