Board recognizes championship ice hockey and boys swim teams

Board members introduced the ice hockey delegation and praised the program’s values and community support. Head coach Matt Gunther thanked the board and the volunteers who sustain the program and remembered a recently deceased contributor to the hockey association.
The board also presented a resolution honoring the boys varsity swim team for sectional championships, top-state ranking and individual honors for athletes including Harrison McClure (Union County champion and team-firsts). The resolution named head coach Jessica Holnick and assistant coach Madeline Kolodny. Holnick thanked the board and said the team prioritized student development and resilience over ego.
These recognitions were ceremonial and no policy changes resulted; photo opportunities and plaques were noted.
