The Vernon Independent School District Board of Trustees on Jan. 12 approved the district's fiscal year 2024-25 financial audit after a presentation by auditor Mike Edgin.

Trustee Amanda Lehman moved to accept the audit; Trustee Carrie Hawkins seconded the motion. The board voted unanimously to approve the audit.
The approval completes the formal acceptance of the auditor's report for FY 2024-25. The board did not attach any conditions to the approval and did not request immediate follow-up actions during the open meeting.
The district will include the audit report in its public records and in materials provided to stakeholders; no further board action on the audit was recorded at the meeting.
