The Rocklin Unified Board of Trustees voted to renew the Rockland Academy Gateway Charter for a seven-year term covering July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2033.
Deputy superintendent of business operations Jennifer Stahlheber told trustees the district reviewed the charter petition, consulted legal counsel, and found Gateway met the criteria for a high-performing charter under the Education Code. "We reviewed that petition...and based on the considerations and their petition, the district recommends renewal for 7 years as requested by Gateway," Stahlheber said.
Trustees had no substantive questions at the October meeting; board members who spoke praised the students who attended the prior school tour and the petition presentation. The board moved and seconded the motion and approved the renewal by roll-call vote.
The action follows the district's public-review and findings-of-fact process; if implemented on the approved schedule the charter renewal would run from 07/01/2026 through 06/30/2033. The board thanked students and staff for their presentation and asked staff to relay the trustees' compliments to the school community.
No appeal or further procedural steps were raised during the meeting.
