Board approves grouped motions on minutes, policy, educational and personnel matters; one motion tabled

At its meeting the Morris School Board moved and approved a series of grouped motions across routine agenda categories.
Minutes motions 1 and 2 were moved by the Finance Committee Chair and seconded; on roll call the board recorded six "yes" votes and one abstention (Miss Perry). Policy motions 1 and 2 were approved on roll call with unanimous "yes" votes from members present. Educational matters motions 1 through 8 were approved and EdMatters motion 9 was tabled. Pupil services motions 1 through 3, human resources motions 1 through 20, and business matters motions 1 through 14 were each moved, seconded and approved on separate roll-call votes.
The Clerk conducted roll-call voting for each grouped motion. The board recorded the voting sequence in the meeting record with the following named responses (transcript spelling preserved where used): Missus Davidson (yes), Miss Perry (varied by vote; abstained on minutes motions), Miss Palooka (yes), Missus Fiodo (yes), Missus Wall (yes), Miss Murphy (yes), Arthur Rodriguez (yes). Tina, the Morris Plains sending-district representative, announced she will abstain from votes that pertain solely to elementary and middle school items identified as PreK–8.
No contested individual motions or amendments were recorded during the meeting; several grouped motions covered grant amendments and program approvals (ESEA/IDEA carryover amendments, Perkins reallocation, AP expansion grant application).
