Kate Dobinson, athletics director for High School South, recognized international and conference achievements including Jake Mann (member of a U.S. junior men's épée team that won at the Pan American championships), the CBC champion swim team (288 points), and individual honors for swimmers and basketball players. Dobinson noted Paul Wittenberg’s and Allison/Lisonbee’s state and national placements and referenced a new school record in a distance event.
Board members praised the students and coaches for their accomplishments and thanked families for attending. The recognition preceded the district’s tentative‑budget presentation.
