Ashley McGuckin, the city's director of health, summarized services at three centers (Drake, Crosby and Wilby), saying they will provide medical and behavioral health services at full scope and that mobile dental is currently operating at some sites with plans for broader licensure. McGuckin said CHC is preparing updated enrollment data and will present a summary to the Board of Education and the aldermen as a follow-up to the agenda item.
Committee members asked how often the centers provide services; McGuckin said full-scope centers operate five days a week and mobile dental visits are scheduled currently twice a year to allow students to receive six-month cleanings. The amendment aligns the city's contract term with the state Department of Health funding period and will simplify administration.
