Miss Elliott provided a breakdown of outcomes from the hearings: of 760 residential appeals, 412 resulted in changes, 280 were sustained and 68 were no-shows or withdrawn; of 152 commercial appeals, notices were sent not to hear on 29 and 105 were sustained, leaving roughly 12 changed commercial hearings. She said the overall reductions from appeals were "roughly about $4,300,000."
Board members asked follow-up questions about repeat appellants, distribution of value bands (she said about 260 residential properties were valued between $1 million and $2 million and 138 between $2 million and $3 million), and the timeline for superior-court filings (do-not-hear notices trigger a two-month filing deadline to June 1). Miss Elliott said she will provide a district-by-district and property-type report to the board ahead of decision day.
After presentation and brief questions, a motion to accept the assessor's report was moved and seconded and approved by unanimous voice vote.
