Oswego board approves consent agenda and $1.62 million bill list; authorizes vehicle purchases, liquor-license changes and boundary agreement

Oswego — The Village of Oswego board approved its consent agenda and a $1,621,273.91 bill list during the Jan. 6 regular meeting.
The consent agenda (items G1–G13) approved included minutes (Committee of the Whole and regular minutes, and closed session minutes approved but not released), an ordinance amending Title 3, Chapter 7 related to decreased Class P liquor licensing for Illich Enterprises LLC (Board and Brush Oswego), liquor-license ordinances for 113 Main Street (1 13 Main LLC) and IDG Oswego (the Brand at Oswego), renewal of an intergovernmental agreement to rent a showmobile with the Sugar Grove Park District, a resolution reducing project surety for Hudson Point Unit 2 effective Jan. 6, 2026, and a resolution revising the village procurement policy.
Public works items on the consent agenda included vehicle purchases and disposals. The board approved the purchase of PW 105, a 2026 Ford F-350 truck from Terra Ford in the amount of $47,007.55 and a related snow-kit outfitting by Regional Truck Equipment in the amount of $19,845 for a combined $66,600.42; it also approved a 2025 Freightliner M2 forestry truck (PW 22) plus equipment in the amount of $251,080 and the disposal of older vehicles (including a 2009 Ford F-350 and a 2011 Dodge Ram bucket truck) as surplus property.
Professional services agreements authorized included work with HR Green, Inc. and Robinson Engineering Limited for various engineering services. The board also voted to adopt an ordinance establishing a boundary agreement between the Village of Oswego and the United City of Yorkville.
The bill list dated Jan. 6, 2026, totaling $1,621,273.91 was presented and approved by roll-call vote.
Trustee reports followed; Trustee Hughes noted the public works department’s annual water-loss filing showed unaccounted-for water at 6.1%, which she said was below the state requirement and reflected ongoing maintenance efforts by the village.
All consent-agenda motions and the bill-list motion were moved, seconded and passed on roll call.
