President Ryan Kauffman opened the meeting and read the items on the consent agenda, which included a resolution reducing the project surety bond for Reserve at Hudson Crossing Building No. 2 to $1,574,222; an $82,786 change order with J and S Construction Water and Sewer for the Wolf’s Crossing water main project (bringing the contract total to $2,592,037); a contract award to VISU Sewer of Illinois LLC for 2026 sanitary sewer and manhole rehabilitation in the amount of $523,601.50; vehicle purchases totaling roughly $79,218; and a professional services agreement with Johnson Research Group Inc. for financial consulting.
The board moved, seconded and approved the appointment of Curt Cassidy as village engineer by roll-call vote. The consent agenda and the bill list dated Jan. 20, 2026, in the amount of $11,495,040.22 were likewise approved by roll call.
