Council designates 625 Westfield Avenue as historic landmark after homeowner request

The Westfield Town Council voted to designate 625 Westfield Avenue as a historic landmark after a brief public hearing in which the homeowners and the Westfield Historic Preservation Commission expressed support.

Jacqueline Brevard, speaking for the Westfield Historic Preservation Commission, told the council the homeowners wished to "reaffirm their desire to historically designate their home." Homeowners Cathy O'Gara and Dave Gordon spoke in favor of the designation and thanked commission members and staff for their assistance.

Council moved and seconded adoption of General Ordinance 2026-03 (designation of 625 Westfield Avenue, Block 4201, Lot 35, as a historic landmark), the clerk called the roll and the motion carried.
