Morristown — At the Town Council meeting on March 10, Kristen Ace, representing the Morristown Shade Tree Commission, told the council the Trees for Schools grant’s first bid has been awarded and that “259 trees are going to go in before May 14.” Ace said the commission selected a smaller-caliber tree, freeing about $75,000 that will fund an additional 87 trees at Frelengheisen and provide the school district with a water truck.
