Chair opened the May 8 executive board meeting and read the consolidated election results from April 1, 2025, certifying the winners and announcing that a swearing-in would follow the meeting.
The chair read vote totals as recorded: Village President Cynthia J. Masuda 135 votes; Fitzgerald Roberts 396 votes; Clerk Chiverta Mounds 139 votes; Juanita Darden Thompson 388 votes. Trustee vote totals read included Baltes Martinez Jr. 154, Joy Johnson 161, Raymond Levine 147, Sharnae McFadden 73, Angela Frank Mules 329 and Ira Roblock 256. The chair declared Fitzgerald Roberts the Village President and named other winners and new trustees.
Village President (speaker) offered remarks after the certification, thanking family and supporters and saying the board will continue efforts to attract development and businesses. “We’re gonna continue to move this town forward,” the Village President said, adding the administration plans giveaways and partnerships with local businesses.
Why it matters: certification finalizes the April election winners and sets who will lead Dixmoor and its boards as the village moves into new development and administrative tasks. The meeting closed with a note that swearing-in would occur immediately after the board session.
The board did not take further formal action on the election results beyond certification and announcing the swearing-in.
