The township supervisor said she has contacted a local commercial real-estate agent for available properties and that the board must weigh rent versus long-term purchase costs with a cost analysis. The board agreed it should analyze options, and the supervisor amended the annual town meeting agenda to add a resolution authorizing the township to "purchase property and/or lease office space for township purposes," a change intended to keep both options open for voters and donors.
No final purchase or lease decision was made at the meeting; the board directed staff to continue searching, refine cost estimates and, if needed, place financing options on the annual town meeting or bring a special meeting for approval.
