The Fanwood Borough Council approved a series of routine consent resolutions that covered municipal claims, contract authorizations and personnel moves.
Council member (reading the consent agenda) listed items including resolution 2023-02-51 authorizing payment of claims in the amount of $2,326,968.44 and resolution 2023-02-52, the January tax report showing $1,754,344.59 in collections for the month. The consent slate also included authorizations for a professional services agreement with Riddle & McCarthy and Gebhardt & Kiefer, PC for conflict attorney services (fees not to exceed $1,000 each), a professional services agreement with Cleary, Jacoby, Alfieri & Jacobs LLC for redevelopment attorney services (fee not to exceed $5,000), step increases for three officers, and a temporary emergency budget appropriation while the annual budget is developed.
Separately, the council approved resolution 2023-02-57 to extend a professional services contract with Animal Control Solutions LLC for an additional two months at a fee not to exceed $1,030 per month, and resolution 2023-02-58 to appoint a per-diem municipal court employee following a resignation in the deputy court administrator position.
Each consent item was adopted by roll call vote with affirmative responses recorded for council members during the meeting.
