Commission approves routine resolutions and appointment, OKs Centennial Park work order

The Wildwood Crest Borough Commission approved a slate of routine resolutions and administrative actions.
Resolutions adopted included waiving fees for six pool passes for Wildwood Fire Rescue to support training; authorizing appropriation transfers totaling $2,000; authorizing release of funds for a set of canceled permits totaling $714 and an overpayment refund of $790 for a permit; and authorizing a refund of a property-tax overpayment payable to CoreLogic. All items were moved, seconded, and carried by roll call vote.
The commission also authorized an appointment: James Grohl was appointed as the borough's Office of Emergency Management coordinator. Separately, the commission authorized a borough engineer work order for Centennial Park improvements at a not-to-exceed sum of $50,000.
Administrative housekeeping approved at the meeting included a motion that all bills properly authorized as submitted be paid; acceptance of monthly reports from the court administrator, chief financial officer, tax collector, chief of police, recreation supervisor, construction official, fire prevention and EMS coordinator and volunteer fire company chief for the month ending 01/31/2026; and approval of minutes for prior commission meetings dated January 21 and February 4, 2026.
Why it matters: These actions allocate small sums, authorize routine refunds and appointments, and set a limited capital work order that the borough will implement through the engineering department.
What happens next: Departments will carry out the approved work orders, refunds will be issued as appropriate, and the clerk will complete required advertising and record-keeping for the adopted resolutions.
