Highway superintendent to order replacement shop building for Verdon; routine road maintenance reported

Highway Superintendent Steve Darveau Jr. briefed the Richardson County Board of Commissioners on routine road and bridge maintenance at the March 18 meeting and said he plans to order a building to replace the county garage shop in Verdon.
Darveau reported that maintenance work is ongoing this week and that the county will move ahead with ordering the replacement building so contractors can finalize plans for erection and finishing. The board received the update; no construction contract or additional funding authorization was recorded in the minutes at this session.
The board also received reports that quarry and material purchases and road-fund claims were included in the claims list approved at the meeting.
