Commander Todd Renehan of Vernon Hills American Legion Post 1247 thanked the board and noted the village’s continuing veterans’ commemorations and upcoming banner presentations scheduled in November.
The motion to approve was made and seconded, and the board recorded aye votes from the trustees and President Cook; President Cook declared “Motion carries.” The signs will be manufactured and installed as coordinated with the American Legion and village staff.
The board did not identify any changes to municipal traffic or legal roadway names; the signs are honorary and ceremonial.
