At its Feb. 18 meeting, the Romeoville Village Board approved multiple items on the consent agenda and carried new business motions authorizing a loan agreement under the Illinois EPA State Revolving Fund (SRF) program and a contract proposal for additional holiday lighting displays.
Trustee Griffin moved to approve the consent agenda, which included minutes, routine schedules and several resolutions and an ordinance to amend towing fees (Ordinance 26 20 36). The clerk conducted a roll call and the motion carried.
In new business, staff presented Ordinance 26 20 37 to authorize the village to execute a loan agreement through the IEPA water loan fund to support pumping and receiving stations on village‑owned property south of the Lukansec school site. A companion resolution (26 41 61) designates Village Manager Caldwell as an authorized signatory on SRF loan documents. Village attorney Vogel explained the village has used IEPA loan programs for high‑cost water projects in the past and recommended authorization so work can proceed as needed.
The board also approved Resolution 26 41 76 authorizing purchase, installation and service of additional holiday display pieces from Artistic Holiday Designs for the 2026 Festival of Lights, including multiple 3‑D ornaments, a 16‑foot walkthrough gingerbread house and added tree wrappings for the great lawn display (the festival is scheduled Nov. 18, 2026–Jan. 3, 2027).
All motions on the consent and new business items carried by roll call vote; no nays were recorded in the transcript. The board adjourned following routine board comments.
