Denver panel approves 19 mayoral appointments and reappointments by consent

The Governance and Intergovernmental Relations committee recorded approval by consent of 19 mayoral appointments and reappointments at its Dec. 23, 2025 minutes, placing new and returning members on city boards, improvement districts and commissions.

The actions approved by consent included appointments and reappointments to the Cherry Creek North Business Improvement District (Randy Murray, term 12-01-2025 to 9-30-2028); the Downtown Design Advisory Board (Sarah Komppa, reappointment, 4-30-2025 to 5-01-2028); the National Western Center Authority Board (reappointments of Ernest House, Jr. and Kelly Leid, terms 9-01-2025 to 8-30-2028); the Tourism Improvement District (Keith Siebenaler, 10-01-2025 to 9-30-2028); the RiNo Business Improvement District (Carla Mestas, reappointment, 9-01-2025 to 9-30-2028); the 14th Street General Improvement District (Melanie Burrow, 1-01-2026 to 12-31-2029); and the Civil Service Commission (Gregory Moore, reappointment, 3-01-2026 to 2-29-2028).

The minutes also record approval by consent of several appointments to the Colfax Mayfair Business Improvement District (Barbara Macfarlane and Dan Murray reappointments; Lauren Erb appointment, terms beginning 4-01-2026). The Denver Immigrant & Refugee Commission received multiple appointments and reappointments approved by consent: Amanda Blaurock; Antony Esteban Mendoza Rangel; Jaclyn Valentine; Maria Jose Torres-Ariceaga Chavez; Michael Hughes; Samantha Dolan; Stephanie Nicole Simons; and Yerson Padilla (each for terms listed in the minutes as 1-01-2026 through 12-31-2028 unless otherwise noted).
