A fire-department official (Speaker 6) briefed the Mooresville Town Council on personnel changes and station work, saying Johnny Offenbacher and Brayton Caudell will be promoted to captain effective April 4 and lieutenants will be Dylan Hollis, Kirby Boyd and Johnny Hartsock.
The official said swearing-in dates will be coordinated with Town Clerk Diana and will be scheduled so council members may attend. Interior floor work and painting at the station are in progress and PPE sizing for staff is scheduled for next week; new monitors have arrived and are being inventoried prior to use.
The official commended department personnel and assisting agencies for their response to a recent fire, noting difficult weather and power-line conditions. The official also said the department's baby box received its annual recertification. Fire-truck auction photos are prepared and the official hoped to finalize auction posting by Thursday.
Council members thanked the department and asked routine follow-ups; no formal action was taken on the personnel announcements during the meeting.
