Joel Clark, executive director of Parks and Recreation, told the council the project includes an 11,000-square-foot operations and maintenance building (above the 3,000-square-foot threshold that triggers council review), an equipment building and a secured storage building, and that the plan responds to the department’s need to replace an off-site facility. “This is a specific park building plan that we’re bringing forward today,” Clark said, describing the site layout and the bond funding history.
