Mark Spagnoli provides Towne Centre construction update; temporary parking to serve library

Mark Spagnoli said the Towne Centre construction adjacent to the Morrisville library is progressing and that a newly built temporary parking lot will soon serve library visitors.

"Mark Spagnoli here for another update on Towne Centre," he said, standing at the intersection of Carolina and Potslove Drive extension to orient listeners to the work area. He pointed out the library to his right and said a public urban plaza will be constructed next to it, with retail space and a new parking deck sited behind the plaza.

Spagnoli noted multifamily housing is under construction immediately behind the planned parking deck. He described a recently constructed temporary parking lot to his left and said that, "in the next couple weeks, people will be transferring from the parking area that's currently used for the library to this new temporary parking spot," adding that patrons will walk from the temporary lot to the library while construction continues.

He also said the existing parking lot that now serves the library will be repurposed and will be under construction as part of the site work.
