Commissioner Cosentino invites public to 'Shop with a Cop' event for local students

Cosentino outlined logistics: students will arrive at city hall at 3 p.m. for sign-in and then proceed in a short caravan to the store; residents may either join the caravan at city hall or meet at Walmart. Mayor Black and other commissioners responded with appreciation for the tradition. The mayor also reminded attendees of the city holiday party on Saturday night.
The announcement did not include details on funding sources or sponsorship; commissioners discussed only event timing, logistics and the opportunity for community participation.
