The Dade City Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) voted unanimously on March 10 to adopt its fiscal‑year 2024–25 annual report and directed staff to submit the report to the state by the March 31, 2026 statutory deadline.
Staff (Miss Van Ervin) outlined the document’s required contents — projects started and completed, estimated project costs, redevelopment trust‑fund expenditures, original assessment value at agency creation, total assessed value as of Jan. 1 and amounts expended for affordable housing for low‑ and moderate‑income residents. She told the board the draft is ready for adoption pending a few minor corrections.
Commissioner Church pointed to typographical and data‑population errors on the financial tables, asking staff to correct the base‑year taxable value label and populate a missing cell in the spreadsheet. Church also reminded the board that, per Florida statutes, the most recent audit should be included within 45 days of its approval; Van Ervin said staff will monitor that requirement and attach the audit when available.
With those corrections noted, a motion to adopt the report passed on a roll‑call vote recorded by the clerk as 5–0. The CRA said staff will make the corrections and submit the final document to the state Department of Economic Opportunity by the statutory deadline.
The CRA’s adoption of the annual report fulfills a statutory obligation to report activities and finances within the redevelopment area and allows staff to proceed with documented closeout and tracking of the trust‑fund spending and affordable‑housing expenditures.
