Commissioners proclaim downtown 'Parade of Quilts'; guild outlines scavenger hunt and community outreach

A representative of the Concert Prairie Quilters Guild described the event to the board, saying the guild "has been in Manhattan for the last 48 years" and outlined that 18 downtown businesses will host quilt displays. The representative said the event will include a scavenger-hunt element: visitors go to the first participating business to get a paper, then visit listed locations to find matching quilts and win prizes, including $5 gift certificates from participating businesses.
