Board members supported a proactive evaluation to reduce emergency spending and service disruptions. Staff said the rehabilitation plan will be aligned with the CIP and budget cycles and that they will work with finance on recommended parts inventories and vendor suggested critical spare lists to reduce downtime.
What happens next: Staff will evaluate and rank the 14 stations by condition and risk, propose a phased rehab plan for inclusion in future CIP budgets, and return recommendations and potential funding options to the board.
