Glenn Bullard, chair of the Administrative Committee, told the board the committee met earlier and recommended approval of a new policy — EFAB, the employee and student acceptable use policy for artificial intelligence.
"The committee does recommend the Bossier Parish School Board approve new policy, EFAB employee and student acceptable use policy for artificial intelligence as was presented," Bullard said, reporting the committee’s vote as 5–1 in favor.
The board then considered the item on the consent/regular agenda. During vocal roll call, the chair recorded one opposition and one abstention before the board completed electronic voting; the motion carried.
The policy was approved out of committee and adopted by the full board; no substantive amendments were recorded in the meeting discussion.
Next steps: staff will implement the policy per the usual adoption process and provide any required administrative guidance to schools and employees.
