County reports ongoing cannabis landlord enforcement work with city, eyes undercover checks at trade events

Maury (speaker 12) said the initiative has taken longer than expected because of challenges gathering admissible evidence and bandwidth constraints. He said most suspected illicit operations are in the city, which is why the effort is being run jointly with the city attorney’s office; that office is temporarily down staff due to paternity leave. Maury said staff plan to refresh evidence collection and consider undercover resources (civilian or law‑enforcement) to investigate suspected front operations, including trade shows, and to pursue landlord‑level enforcement or request assistance from OCM where appropriate.
The update did not change enforcement policy or record a formal action; staff said the initiative remains active and that they will continue coordination and evidence gathering.
