Large Sherwood Avenue site plan postponed after staff and resident say plans are inadequate

A resident/nearby stakeholder (planning staff reference and public commenter, speaker S9) read a letter listing five reasons the plans were inadequate for public review, including use of aerial photos with superimposed lines, poor scale (1 inch = 200 feet), unclear parking-lot property descriptions, indistinct locations for truck and trailer parking, and unidentifiable crosswalk locations that raised pedestrian-safety concerns. “The site plan cannot be used to determine their locations,” the commenter said while urging postponement so the petitioner can provide appropriate plans.
Commissioners voted to postpone the item to April 13 to allow the petitioner and designers (including an architectural firm named in the packet) to produce conventional, legible site plans. Staff noted the firms involved were capable of providing standard plan sets and agreed a brief delay should allow time for corrected materials.
