Commissioner Stacey Wise moved to appoint Christina J. White to the vacant Follansbee seat, effective April 1, 2026; Commissioner Thomas R. Diserio seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
In the same meeting the commission approved hiring Kristin Siranovic as the county’s 911 Director, effective April 1, 2026, at an annual salary of $60,000. The commission also accepted the Brooke County Ambulance Authority Board’s recommendation and appointed Andrew J. Thomas to fill the vacancy created by Flora Perrone’s departure.
Earlier in the session the commission approved two EMS hires requested by Greg Moore, the EMS/EMA Director: Abigail Mauck was approved as a full-time EMTA (start April 1, pending drug screening and background check) and Melynda Sampson was approved as a part-time EMT (start April 15, pending the same conditions). All personnel motions are recorded as having passed unanimously.
