Troy schedules April spring cleanup week; cemetery cleanup runs March 15–April 15

Lauren Karch, communications coordinator for the City of Troy, announced the city’s spring cleanup week and provided rules for solid-waste and cemetery maintenance.
Karch said the spring cleanup week will take place in April; during that week residents may put out additional bagged trash beyond their normal bins. She asked that extra trash be bagged, that large furniture and bulky items be scheduled with the city’s usual special-pickup service, and said brush placed out for that week does not need to be bundled (outside of that week the city asks that brush be bundled).
On cemetery care, Karch said the cemetery department conducts intensified cleanup between March 15 and April 15, including mowing and weed‑whacking. She asked residents to remove wreaths, flags and other removable decorations before March 15 and to follow the cemetery rules posted on the city website.
Karch encouraged residents to consult the city’s online materials or contact the communications office with questions about cleanup schedules and rules.
